I don’t smile much in pictures because I have a slightly wonky tooth that I’ve always been self conscious of. See, when I was a child, I fell out of my high chair and landed so hard on my face that I broke a baby tooth. When the adult teeth surrounding the face-smashing area grew in, they were all weird and crooked. Except for one tooth, which grew in set back almost an inch — I had a tooth about as close to the roof of my mouth as the upper jaw will allow.
Eight (EIGHT) years of braces corrected all the teeth completely except for the one seriously borked tooth, which is only mostly fixed.
I have become convinced that people stare at my freaky circus tooth. Which is silly because they’re actually staring at my ass (it’s a good one).
